PRODUCTION
This page will consist of all things production - from screenshots of my editing to pictures that I have taken along the way whilst filming. It will also include information regarding production eg. camera techniques.
Stereoscopic photos
Shutter
The shutter speed is the unit of measurement which determines how long the shutter remains open as the picture is taken. The slower the shutter speed, the longer exposure time meaning the picture isn't captured quickly - this wouldn't be goof for taking a picture of something moving. The higher the shutter speed means more clarity of the photo - if you want a clear image of someone sprinting on a track you would want t high shutter speed. The shutter speed and aperture together control the total amount of light reaching the sensor.
Aperture
Aperture is the unit of measurement that defines the size of the opening in the lens that can be adjusted to control the amount of light reaching the film or digital sensor. The size of the aperture is measured in F-stop. The lower the f stop the more the background isn't in focus and the camera focuses mainly on one thing in the shot, but the higher the f stop the more that is in focus.
ISO
ISO measures the sensitivity of the image sensor. The lower the number the less sensitive your camera is to light and the finer the grain. Whereas the higher the ISO the shutter speed is faster as you can 'freeze' the movement.
